If your language is not listed here you can create the required file yourself. It is quite simple: just use the file English.lng (located in Languages folder of the program (by default "C:\Program Files\Link Commander\Languages") as a template; translate all words and sentences from English into the language of your choice. The file has to be saved with the name yourlanguage.lng (e.g. Spanish.lng).

Just three notes here. First, don't translate in English.lng the words in square brackets (e.g. [TfrmMain] and [TfrmBrowserMonitor] - those are the "standard" headers which should not be changed) and the sentences before the "=" sign, because the program uses these words as an ID of the translated text. Second, try to keep the sentences as short as they appear in the English version – otherwise they probably will not fit in the forms and dialog boxes. And last: don't change things like %1, %2 – these are the format specifiers; use string <13><10> to start the next text on the next line.

To do this work you can use any text editor. But we recommend IniTranslator. IniTranslator is a free Windows tool for developers and users to simplify the translation and localization of language files. You can download it from its home page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/initranslator

After translation save your file to Languages folder of the program (see above). Should you start Link Commander, it will automatically load your translated file, therefore you can test and view your translation selecting your language in Tools->Languages menu. Open all Link Commander forms to see if the translated text is correct and it is not too long.

Send us translated file by attaching it to the e-mail on info@resortlabs.com and we'll include_once this file into the next version of Link Commander. If you contact us prior to starting the translation (to be sure that you're the only person who is doing this work), you can receive free registration!
